Instant Mango Thokku

My mom makes this in the mango season. Very easy and less time consuming recipe.

Instant Mango Thokku

Ingredients:

1 cup grated raw mango

1/4 tsp turmeric powder

2 tsp chilly powder ( adjust according to taste )

A pinch of hing

1/2 tsp fenugreek seeds

1/2 tsp mustard

2 tbsp oil ( preferably gingelly oil )

Salt as required

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add hing and fenugreek. Then add mustard . After it splutters add the grated mango and sauté.
  2. Add turmeric powder, chilly powder and salt. Sauté till the rawness is gone. Instant mango thokku is ready. This stays for one week. Goes well with upma and curd rice.
